Shaping Sustainable Events will be hosted by Meet Cambridge, the conference and events bureau for the city, at West Court, Jesus College on Wednesday 24th April from 10.00 am – 2.00pm. The event has been developed specifically for organisers who want to start embedding environmental and social sustainability into their meetings and events.

Expert speakers will delve into the practicalities of designing a sustainable event and a panel session involving representatives from the events industry will follow. Alongside the education sessions, attendees will have an opportunity to meet with the conference teams from several Cambridge venues over a networking lunch.

Judith Sloane, Head of Meet Cambridge said:

Shaping Sustainable Events is a unique opportunity for attendees to make meaningful connections, gather valuable tips, explore ideas and ultimately to create purposeful, inclusive and sustainable events, we’re looking forward to seeing everyone come together to overcome challenges and find solutions for what is now an integral part of event planning.

Attendees will also engage in electronic networking facilitated by Cambridge-based company, Blendology. Attendance at the event is free of charge but attendees are encouraged to bring a donation for the Cambridge City Foodbank on the day.
