Meet Unify at Connected Business and CeBIT

Arrange an interview with a Unify evangelist and a hands-on demonstration of Project Ansible at Unify’s exhibit at Connected Business, on 4 – 5 March in London, or CeBIT, on 10 – 14 March in Hannover, Germany.

Unify shapes the future of work

Mobile working, home working, virtual teams, video conferencing. Chatting, tweeting, e-mailing, calling. There are as many ways to work as there are channels. So many that more than half of us feel uncomfortable with it. Today’s consumer IT revolution sustains our on-the-go workstyle, but its traditional shortcomings can cause stress. Until now.

Unify has developed a new generation of communications and collaboration technologies which will greatly change the future of work, making it stress-free and fun. It can be yours by mid-2014.

Unify, formerly known as Siemens Enterprise Communications, is one of the world’s leading enterprise communication software and services suppliers. Built on a successful heritage of nearly 170 years of innovation, Unify has set out to harmonize the way companies communicate and collaborate, helping employees spend less time orchestrating work and more time effectively collaborating, without any stress.

Unify is a dominant market player in telephony and Unified Communications (UC). Over the years, its OpenScape communications platform has become an industry standard. Based on extensive market and customer research over the past few years, Unify developed an advanced communications and collaboration platform under the code name Project Ansible, which seamlessly connects with the OpenScape platform and other suppliers’ systems. Project Ansible will be formally unveiled at the Connected Business exposition, 4-5 March, London, and at CeBIT, the world’s largest IT business event and conference, Hanover, Germany, 10-14 March. Worldwide sales will commence in June.

Its introduction will be significant for the communications and IT industries. Unify believes substantial forces are reshaping how enterprises conduct business, such as the consumerization of IT, BYOD (bring your own device) to work, and the impact of “anywhere workers”. These factors are defining the future of work. Project Ansible addresses this new way of working through a secure communications platform that supports dynamic collaboration and universal content aggregation for a single intuitive consumer experience that drives adoption and simplifies integration within existing business processes. The result? A significant enhancement of business performance.

Current management tools for conferencing, collaboration and content tend to be segmented, forcing users to perform most of the integration themselves. Unify, through its Project Ansible platform, envisions all relevant information being seamlessly and easily available to every user at any given time on a single screen, either in text, image, video, voice or any combination thereof. Moreover, the information will be accessible on any IT device, from desktop PC or IP telephone to Smartphone or tablet. It will enable users to quickly transition from one device to another during a conversation (e.g. from laptop to mobile phone) through a simple “call swipe”, the finger movement we know from tablet PCs, without being interrupted. Working and collaborating will be fun in the future.
