Merged firm comes together in the heart of Cambridge

HCR Hewitsons has moved into its new Cambridge base, drawing together staff from its Compass House and Shakespeare House offices into 50/60 Station Road. The new office houses the current 115 staff and has space for expansion as it looks to grow its teams.

Cambridge office head Inger Anson (pictured) said: “The move has gone well, especially given the complexities of bringing together two teams from separate offices in one space. The location is excellent – we’re all enjoying the ease of being so central and close to the station – and the move brings together all our expertise in a way that will foster collaboration and cross-firm working.

“We, like so many other companies, are working flexibly to suit our clients; the mix of working from home and office-based time reflects what we have learned over the last 18 months about how our people work best. Bringing the team together in one space enables everyone to learn from each other and share a very positive and entrepreneurial culture.”

Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Hewitsons merged on 1 June, creating a network of 11 offices across the country, from Cardiff to Cambridge.

Harrison Clark Rickerbys has more than 780 partners and staff based at offices in Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Hereford, London, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Thames Valley, Worcester and the Wye Valley, providing a complete spectrum of legal services to both business and private clients regionally and nationwide.

The firm also has a number of highly successful teams specialising in individual sectors, including health and social care, education and charities, technology, agricultural and rural affairs, finance and financial services, defence, security and the forces, and construction.
