One of the most recent additions to Cambridge's food and drink scene, modern brasserie MillWorks, has been nominated as 'Best Restaurant' in the Muddy Stilettos Awards for Cambridgeshire. The awards sees customers voting for their favourite local businesses in a range of 27 different categories. You can cast your vote too by following the link here. MillWorks opened its doors to the public in Autumn last year after weeks of extensive refurbishment. The historic Cambridge Mill was completely re-energised into an eclectic modern brasserie by the local restaurant group, Cambscuisine. Once broken and rotten, the centerpiece wheel now whizzes round, a symbol for the way in which energy has been injected back into this historic building. The new design also incorporates glass apertures in the floor allowing customers to dine whilst watching the water rush by underfoot.
Restaurant Manager, Rob Hirst, said: "The whole team are thrilled to have made it into the finals and amazed by how much support we've had from our customers, suppliers and other local businesses."
MillWorks is currently in the lead, up against four other local restaurants - The Restaurant at The Old Bridge Huntingdon, Alimentum, The Anchor Inn and Cotto.
