The Cambridge-based firm is this week announcing a repositioning as The Brand Transformation Agency – a sharper reflection of an increasingly sophisticated market and the value it can add to clients in today’s challenging and competitive world.
According to joint managing director Rob Bryant, “Savvy marketers need more from their agencies, and it’s time for the industry to be reinvented” he explains. “Client companies can get websites and brochures at a fraction of the cost of years gone by – which leaves many of them questioning the value of their traditional agency relationships.
“However, agencies still have a vital role to play in terms of empowering clients to think big, redraw their business objectives and deliver brands and campaigns that leap the business forward. We need to provide a partnership that challenges the status quo, is hyper-aware of marketing trends and focuses on tangible business results rather than the creation of marketing materials.”
According to Rob, successful transformations – of brands and business challenges – are what characterise current client relationships at his agency.
To deliver for clients, the agency has bolstered its team across all departments. New appointments include Shelby Haslam as Head of Strategy, PR Account Director Amanda Bunn and Dale Haste, in a new role of Creativity Director, to offer added value creative advice and direction for clients. The agency also plans to introduce a number of new channels of expertise throughout 2018 to meet the evolving marketing landscape.
“Leaders and marketers at growth businesses can’t afford to tread water, and the clients we attract have a real imperative to make things happen. Our strategic and insight driven approach runs deep and encompasses everything from defining a brand and competitor landscape to advising on the business structure needed to deliver success. We use it to sharpen our communication tools – across digital, design, PR, social media and more – to ensure we deliver effective campaigns and accelerate growth.”
The repositioning comes at a time of unprecedented success for Mobas. Since the turn of the year, the agency has been appointed by the likes of Anglian Water (Geodesys), Fuji Film, MSD Animal Health and Foodco PLC to name a few. The agency’s work has also been recognised with Mobas being shortlisted for The Drum’s Marketing Strategic Agency category and for five CIPR awards, due to be announced later this month.
Mobas supports businesses in multiple sectors including high-profile brands such as Accor Hotels (Mercure, Novotel, Pullman, Sofitel Hotels), ACE, The Cambridge Building Society, Compare the Market, Countryside Properties, Europcar, Festool, Greene King, Marmalade, NHS Blood and Transplant, PEM, Play Fusion, Reynaers, Taylor Vinters, Tees Law, University of Cambridge, Vindis, Volvo and Whirlpool.
