National Grid: Operating the GB transmission system, carbon free, by 2025

Richard Smith, Head of Commercial at National Grid will give a keynote talk at the 10th anniversary Cleanpower Smart Grids Conference in Cambridge on Day 2 (Tuesday 2nd July 2019), in a session with Anser Shakoor, ABB; Victoria Doherty, QinetiQ, Emily Orton CMO of Darktrace and moderated by Pamela Taylor of Taylor MacPherson, a former Director at Ofgem.

Richard Smith's Biography

With nearly 20 years experience in the energy sector, Richard has led the development of future energy scenarios, the strategic development of the GB electricity transmission system, its market frameworks and is currently Head of Commercial in National Grid Electricity System Operator. Richard previously worked in the Space industry, is a chartered engineer and an IET Fellow.
