Primarily based at its recently-launched West Court conference and meetings facility, Mark is responsible for managing the College’s state-of-the-art technical equipment in which there has recently been significant investment. He is also providing on-site technical support for all users – both internally and externally – to ensure they have the optimum equipment and expertise for their individual events.

Mark has a strong background in electronic engineering and AV and for the last ten years has provided consultancy in sound, radio broadcasting and technical support for a wide range of organisations.

He says: “ This is a very exciting opportunity for me, particularly with the new Lecture Hall at West Court and the technical investment in recent months. Everyone who has visited has been impressed by our large video wall, dual screen display facility and our integrated house and stage lighting.

“Increasingly people are asking for video conferencing, streaming and filming of events which we are now in a first class position to provide.

“I am looking forward to working with everyone using the facilities to help them maximise what we can offer to enhance their event – whether it is a one-day meeting, presentation or conference.”

The Lecture Hall at West Court is designed to operate as a multi-functional auditorium for lectures, conferences, general meetings and high-level presentations. It has retractable seating, dual screen display facility, integrated house and stage lighting and professional audio and visual system solutions. The large 6m x 3.5m video wall and 4m x 2.5m projection screen with full HD multimedia projector, offer excellent display options for presentations, video conferencing, virtual meeting room applications and broadcasting.

The College offers a range of conference and events facilities located in historical buildings dating back to the eleventh century, as well as modern award-winning spaces. Dinners can be held in intimate private dining rooms for smaller groups from 16 to 34, through to larger gatherings of up to 150 in the Hall. There are 250 en-suite bedrooms for use in vacations, including those in Library Court and North Court which have been awarded the Quality in Tourism 5 Star accreditation by Visit England for the fifth year running, in addition to the 27 luxury hotel-standard bedrooms in West Court which are available all-year round.
