New EU project with funding for companies

The Zepler Institute at the University of Southampton is part of a new EU programme (ACTHPAST) to provide up to €80k worth of innovation support to SMEs in the field of photonics.

ACTPHAST is delivered by 23 leading photonics research institutes and companies across Europe and is funded under EU FP7.

The following technology areas are supported in the programme:

  • Free space optics
  • Fibre optics
  • Polymer optics
  • MOEMS
  • Photonic integrated circuits (silicon, InP, silicon nitride)
