The event - known as /dev/summer - will bring together top software speakers from the Eastern region, London and the Midlands for a one day intensive learning and networking event.
In order to make the event free, the organisers are looking for sponsorship support from local companies.
An open Call for Speakers also runs until 29th May.
Tickets for the event will be available soon from Software East, other local user groups, event sponsors and from speakers.
