Blue Chip’s Vario-A2 can drive either a DVI or VGA display and includes dual Gigabit LANs, quad USB, audio line-in / line out and RS232 port for interfacing to a multimedia hub. Up to 4GB DDR3 RAM is supported together with 250GB to 2TB storage capacity. A Mini PCIe expansion socket allows further functionality to be added such as SSD, Wi-Fi, 2G/3G/4G modem, GPS and Zigbee.

Vario-A2 has been designed around the highly acclaimed AMD G-Series Low Power Dual Core T40E APU (1GHz) with integrated AMD Radeon HD 6250G graphics and is available with a choice of XP Embedded, XP Pro, Win 7 and Linux operating systems. The compact form factor (200 x 113 x 52mm) and operating temperature range to 45°Chas been designed for reliable 24/7 operation and comes in a distinctive polished stainless steel enclosure with a black brushed aluminum front panel.
