New venture takes Broers space

British tech-entrepreneur Mike Lynch’s new venture ICP London (trading as Invoke) is to occupy space in the Broers Building in Cambridge after agreeing a letting from landlord Nafield Properties, the company owned by Turnstone Estates and Burall Developments.

Venture capital vehicle ICP London has signed for 5,868 sq ft on the third floor of the building.

The 41,825 sq ft Broers Building forms part of the Hauser Forum at the University of Cambridge’s West Cambridge Site. West Cambridge is home to much development activity at present with construction underway to provide a new Unversity Sports Centre and a building for Material Science and Metallurgy. These will be joined next year by a new facility for the Department of Chemical Engineering. Alongside these and many other University facilities the four-storey Broers building is available to let for organisations involved in commercial research and development.

Other tenants are Nokia, genetic sequencing firm Base4 Innovation, engineering parts maker Elecktron, patent attorney Avidity, software provider Andago, simulation software developer Comsol and scientific software developer Enthought.

Januarys and Bidwells acted for Turnstone Estates. Juniper advised ICP London.
