Non-Swiss residents can now buy and resell ski apartments and chalets in Switzerland

Thanks to an exemption, non-Swiss residents can buy and resell apartments and chalets in the famous Andermatt ski resort, which is offering a rare and unique opportunity to buy Swiss homes without the need of qualifications for UK skiers, home buyers and investors. Find out more at a half-day event in London on Tuesday 19 November.

Egypt-born billionaire Samih Sawiris's Andermatt Swiss Alps AG, a subsidiary of Orascom Development Holding AG, has hired Relocation Switzerland (UK) to promote the resort's $2 billion development with a half-day conference at The Westbury Mayfair Hotel, London.

The event coincides with the sterling-Swiss franc exchange rate increasingly favouring UK buyers and investors who now have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to buy chalets and apartments in this famous Swiss ski resort without the need for Swiss residency or other qualifications. Relocation Switzerland (UK) Ltd, will host the conference at 12 noon Tuesday 19 November at the Westbury Hotel, Mayfair, London.

Upon completion, the resort will include 490 apartments, six 4 & 5-star hotels, 25 exclusive chalets, a breath-taking 18-hole golf course, and a ski area with 120 km of slopes.

In addition, the famous Bürgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne perched 450 meters above Lake Lucerne will be present at the conference, the CHF485 million redevelopment by The State of Qatar's sovereign wealth fund when completed will comprise two luxury hotels, a Healthy Living Center, Residence Suites, business facilities and the unprecedented 10,000 m2 Bürgenstock Alpine Spa, the project is destined to become an exclusive landmark for Central Switzerland.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from the project developers and seek advice from leading Swiss, accountants, lawyers and financial advisors. Andermatt has some of the bestskiing in Switzerland, if not the entire Alps, while The  Bürgenstock Hotel is one of the worlds most famous hotels with its stunning position overlookingLakeLucerne.

Zurich-based lawyers Altenburger will be on hand to offer advice on how to purchase property, secure mortgages and residency; accountancy firm BDO, Switzerland will assist those conference delegates seeking to set-up a Swiss company and negotiate private tax settlements. Swiss-based UK author Diccon Bewes will again attend the conference to tell delegates the do's and don'ts of skiing and living in Switzerland.

The conference will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday 19 November at the Westbury Hotel, Mayfair, London W1. Registration fee is £25, limited places available.
