The ARP was set up in 2010 by the Natural Environment Research Programme as a five-year project to address key scientific uncertainties in the Arctic, which ultimately impact on the world at large. The programme extends the UK’s scope of research in the Arctic, providing greater interpretation of climate change and facilitating reliable predictions, as well as identifying implications for policymakers and Arctic communities.
Onespacemedia has been appointed to create a digital platform that delivers key information and multimedia to illustrate ARP’s objectives as well as updates on the various projects that have been funded through the programme. Features will include interactive maps, videos, image galleries and real-time blogs and social feeds from the organisations, teams and individuals working to address the programme’s objectives.
Visitors to the site should expect a modern and immersive user experience set against a backdrop of modern, responsive design. The site will launch at the beginning of July 2013.
