Opportunities for young people to develop their performance skills

Cambridge Junction's 'Junction Young Company' is back!

Junction Young Company (JYC) is an advanced training programme for committed performers aged 14 to 21 that provides an opportunity to work with innovative directors, theatre companies and visiting artists. The Company will develop skills in a wide variety of theatrical conventions and styles, culminating in an innovative public performance on the J2 stage.

The company will meet Mondays, 6 – 8pm from September – April. In the lead up to the performances, there will be some intensive rehearsals during school holidays in Term Two.

Typically, a programme of JYC will consist of:

Term One (Sep – Nov) Work with a leading theatre professional/company to develop key skills and techniques in movement, voice, character creation, devising, cross-art form performance and more.

Term Two (Jan - April)  Junction Young Company will work with an innovative theatre company or director to create an original devised production to be performed to a public audience on the J2 stage in April.

This year, JYC will be working with Breach Theatre!
