Pedal power at Cambridge Design Partnership!

A group of keen cyclists from Cambridge Design Partnership teamed up with clients and suppliers to triumphantly finish the London to Cambridge bike ride on Sunday 28th July, raising around £1,500 for charity.

The twenty strong team finished in good time to reach Midsummer Common in Cambridge by 11:20am, with the lead group from Cambridge Design Partnership finishing the 60 mile course from London in just 3 hours 11 minutes. They were all met by colleagues, friends and family for a celebratory picnic on the Common.

Cambridge Design Partnership designed and provided the team shirts, and also donated £500 to the fundraising total, which will go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The team, called Velocipede, had trained hard for the ride in the months leading up to the race, and often chose to cycle to work rather than drive.

Team captain, Mike Beadman, said “We’re pleased to have taken part in the race, and to raise money for such a worthwhile cause. The cycling bug has bitten a few of us now, and I can see that we’ll continue to take the bike to work – and as Cambridge Design Partnership’s offices are based in the picturesque village of Toft just outside Cambridge, we all have a scenic route for our journeys.“
