Penningtons Manches Cooper puts Kettle’s Yard in the frame once again

The Cambridge office of top 50 law firm Penningtons Manches Cooper is delighted to announce the renewal of its sponsorship of Kettle’s Yard, the University of Cambridge’s world-class modern and contemporary art gallery.

Since the gallery reopened in 2018 following a major refurbishment, Penningtons Manches Cooper has been a lead sponsor, supporting events including chamber music concerts as well as choosing it for the location of its annual party for clients and contacts and its round table discussions focussing on the key themes surrounding overseas investment, particularly from the US, into the Golden Triangle of Cambridge, London and Oxford.

Says Partner Helen Drayton: “Just like us, Kettle’s Yard is Cambridge-based but with an international outlook, presenting incredible exhibitions of work by world-renowned artists since its hugely successful reopening.  It also, like us, has great ambitions for its future and we’re delighted to continue this association, which I’m sure our clients will also appreciate.”

Says Andrew Nairne OBE, Director, Kettle’s Yard: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Penningtons Manches Cooper, that since 2018 has enabled us to fulfill our curatorial ambitions and present dynamic and remarkable work by both leading contemporary artists, and some of the most important artists of the twentieth century.”

About Kettle’s Yard

Kettle’s Yard is one of Britain’s best galleries - a beautiful and unique house with a distinctive modern art collection, and a gallery exhibiting modern and contemporary art from around the world. Supporting this is an extensive learning and community engagement programme, an archive, and a programme of chamber music concerts. In February 2018, Kettle’s Yard reopened after a two-year development designed by architect Jamie Fobert. The new Kettle’s Yard includes state of the art exhibition galleries, generous education spaces, a café and new welcome areas. Kettle’s Yard’s mission is to contribute to society by inspiring and engaging audiences through art, learning and research of the highest quality. We believe that great art should not be the privilege of the few, but for everyone. Our values reflect Kettle’s Yard’s creator Jim Ede’s support for artists and belief in art’s power to make us look again and change how we act in the world.
