PlantGrow is a totally natural, pure fertiliser, a growing medium and a potent plant food. Derived from condensed, natural plant tissue and chemical free, it is drawn from the rich residue of the agricultural anaerobic digestion, bio-fuel process.
PlantGrow’s ingredients nourish and strengthen all garden vegetation from flowering plants, roses and shrubs, including hanging baskets and tubs, to vegetables and lawns. It is available in both liquid and solid forms. The liquid is a plant food to be used throughout the growing season, whilst PlantGrow in solid form acts as a soil conditioner and growing medium.
Public interest in, and desire for, natural products generally has extended to welcome this natural product that nourishes the land. PlantGrow is the first of its kind, and meets the increasing demand for natural garden-care products. Both commercial growers and hobby gardeners are reporting back on its excellence as a soil conditioner and plant food.
PlantGrow is unusual in more ways than one. It is a breakthrough product not only because of its purity, but also because of its source: the agricultural sector. A source, initially, that challenged the product’s future, for the agricultural sector is completely separated from horticulture by a barrier of regulations and protocols designed to prevent an agricultural product from being used in horticulture.
Steve and Sarah Suggitt, the Norfolk farmers who have brought PlantGrow to market were convinced from the outset, however, that the richness and purity of the vegetable tissue created by the anaerobic process would be ideal for horticultural use. In this they were supported by friend and rosarian Richard Beales and by the results of early trials. Together they worked with the Environment Agency and other bodies to meet all the requirements to bring it to the horticultural market.
PlantGrow is now available in 200 Homebase stores, all Blue Diamond garden centres and from independent garden centres in East Anglia.
Since the launch of the soil conditioner and the liquid plant food, the PlantGrow team has gone on to produce a soil conditioner for rose growers to use, just now becoming available.
