The Plough at Shepreth is to reopen

Chris McKay and Andrew McTear of McTear Williams & Wood are pleased to announce that The Plough at Shepreth has been sold subject to contract.

MPM Properties acquired an option on The Plough from the joint liquidators Chris McKay and Andrew McTear of McTear Williams & Wood. MPM Properties' plans - to renovate the building and create a new family home - were met with opposition from the villagers who were hoping the building would return to its original use as a pub.

The building has now been sold on to Nick and Jo Davis who are based locally and plan to reopen the property as a pub and restaurant. Richard Mutty of MPM Properties said he wished Nick and Jo every success in their venture and was pleased the property would receive new investment.

Nick and Jo added that they were delighted to be the new owners, confirming their plans to reinstate the building as a public house and restaurant early in the new year. They say that further details will be announced shortly via the Shepreth Parish Magazine and local press. They also thanked MPM Properties for all their assistance with the acquisition of The Plough.

McTear Williams & Wood has offices at Norwich, Cambridge, Ipswich,  Chelmsford and London, and is East Anglia’s largest business rescue and insolvency firm, visit www.mw-w.com for further information.
