Prism advises on acquisition of agricultural silage covers specialist

The Prism team is delighted to announce that they have advised family-owned investment company, Milbank Group, on its acquisition of Bruno Rimini Limited (t/a Silostop).

Bruno Rimini Limited (t/a Silostop) is a producer of agricultural silage covers and accessories. This is the Group’s seventh acquisition facilitated by the Prism team.

The name Milbank is synonymous with precast concrete products; however, the Group’s diverse range of businesses also now provide crane hire, safety products, specialist clothing, digital marketing and agricultural solutions. The Group’s company ARK Agriculture is the UK leader in silage storage and so the Silostop brand will be added to its portfolio of agricultural products.

For over 10 years Silostop has been dedicated to helping farmers make better silage (food for livestock made with green leafy crops preserved by fermentation). Through extensive experience and research Silostop has developed a wide range of innovative products and systems that allow farmers to produce the best silage in a sustainable way. Its oxygen barrier silage film is used on some of the largest dairy and beef farms in the UK and worldwide, and also within anaerobic digestion power generation.

Silostop’s values align very closely with both the Milbank Group and ARK Agriculture, so its acquisition provides great benefits and opportunities for all parties. The Group is committed to continuing Silostop’s growth plans within the agricultural sector, while ensuring that both their staff and distributors are supported and welcomed.

Prism is an award-winning corporate finance and broking boutique, helping people to buy and sell businesses. The Prism team facilitated Milbank Group’s acquisition of Silostop and provided expert guidance throughout the process. It is the seventh deal they have worked on for the Group.

Sean Milbank of the Milbank Group said,“We have admired Silostop as a brand for a number of years and are delighted that it will be joining our Group.”

Francis Auchincloss, Managing Director of ARK Agriculture said “The acquisition of the Silostop business presents a great opportunity for ARK Agriculture to build on a successful period of steady and consistent growth within the UK and provides a platform to bolster our presence in dairy, livestock and the anaerobic digestion sector nationally as well as internationally.”

Peter Watson, Managing Director of Prism Corporate Broking said, “The deal progressed well from both sides and it was evident that both companies share similar cultures and core values. I congratulate Sean and the teams at Milbank and ARK Agriculture and look forward to seeing the company’s continued success.”
