The aim is to develop a vision that local authorities and others can take into account in their statutory processes.
Over the next two years, 10 topics will be considered.
The next - at a workshop on Thursday 8 March at 6.30 pm, to be held at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Wilberforce Road, Cambridge CB3 0WA - is on land use in the Cambridge sub-region:
· How do we accommodate the needs of housing and business?
· How do we keep the area attractive and interesting?

The output for each 2030 Vision topic will be a very brief summary paper, together with more detailed backup material to be held on Cambridge Past Present & Future’s web site.
At the end of the two years, when all 10 topics have been covered, the project will consider the whole sub-region defined by the Cambridge travel-to-work area – a radius of about 25 miles.
The workshops are being funded by BAA Stansted and are organised by a group with no political affiliations, including Cambridge Past Present & Future, the University of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and FeCRA.
