Provoke Me launches new website for Trucks, Trolleys and Steps

A new start-up company based in Bury St Edmunds needed a professional identity and website to sell warehouse equipment, trucks, trolleys and steps. So they approached Cambridge website design agency, Provoke Me Ltd, to create a smart, clear, concise brand identity and a simple to use website.

With an emphasis on clear typography and the subtle use of a bold accent colour, the site communicates immediately what is on offer.

Starting with a series of creative concepts demonstrating the values of the brand and how these could be communicated visually, the team at Provoke Me was able to quickly narrow the process down.

It was decided fairly early on to move away from any iconography in the logo and to concentrate instead on a bold, slab serif typeface - with a simple black or grey application, but with a single strong accent colour to really make the contrast sing.

It was only a step away (no pun intended) to take this accent colour, turn it into a set of steps and run the company name down that gradiated path. Perfection!

The client loved the brand identity so much that the team immediately set about turning it into a set of office stationery, business cards, letterhead etc. and trade press advertisements before then moving onto the website design itself.

Like so many things in life, when you get the foundations right, the rest is easy. And so it was with this project. Having such a great logo to kick things off, meant that the design of the website was relatively straightforward.

Once built and the site launched, Provoke Me was then commissioned to manage the social media activity on Facebook and Google+ to help generate a buzz around the brand and promote the products and services of the company.
