The event will bring together past learners to share their journeys, reconnect with the Fitness Rush community, and showcase the lasting impact of accessible fitness education across Cambridge. The programme will include a group exercise session, learner spotlights, and discussions on the future of inclusive fitness provision in the city.
Fitness Rush Community CIC has played an important role in improving wellbeing, employment opportunities, and community health by delivering affordable, high-quality training. The reunion offers a chance to highlight how these programmes have supported individuals in building confidence, finding new careers and leading healthier lifestyles.
The event will also explore new opportunities to expand outreach, including partnerships with schools, colleges, and community venues, ensuring that more people – particularly in underserved parts of Cambridge – can benefit from training and inclusive fitness programmes.
Daniel Zeichner MP, a promising middle-distance runner in his youth, said, "Community-led initiatives like Fitness Rush show how local projects can transform lives and strengthen our city. I am delighted to be joining this reunion to hear directly from learners about their experiences and to discuss how we can expand opportunities for health, wellbeing, and training across Cambridge."
