Pure Resourcing Solutions applauds award winner Cambridge Consultants

Congratulations go to Cambridge Consultants, who won the Employer of the Year award at the coveted Cambridge Business Excellence Awards 2013, held on Thursday March 21st at King's College.

The category, sponsored by Pure Resourcing Solutions (Pure), was open to a broad range of local businesses that were judged on their success in motivating,
inspiring and rewarding employees and creating a positive working environment.

Lynn Walters, Director of Pure and one of six judges assessing a variety of businesses for a range of award categories, said: “I would like to congratulate Cambridge Consultants, which is without doubt a worthy winner of this year’s Employer of the Year category. Beating tough competition from a high number of
other entrants, the business’s high staff retention rate impressed the judges - a significant achievement in this very competitive market.

She added: “As enthusiastic supporters of employee engagement Pure is proud to sponsor the Employer of the Year category and we are delighted to be part of recognising employer excellence in the region.” Cambridge Consultants, the innovative product development firm, received the award at the gala event hosted by the BBC News World Affairs Editor, John Simpson. Judges commended the business’s excellent structured career development strategy and its approach to creating a genuine sense of pride and passion among staff.

Alan Richardson, CEO of Cambridge Consultants, commented: “We are thrilled to receive the ccolade of Employer of the Year. We employ exceptional people who do difficult projects, which they execute very fast. Our role as an employer is to provide an environment in which they can grow to their full potential – and reward them according to their development and achievements.“The feedback we get from staff is that Cambridge Consultants is an exceptional place to work. Top-flight individuals seek us out as a result of our reputation in the market place – it’s a reputation we have held for some time and one that we carefully guard. So it’s great to receive public recognition of our status as employer of choice.”

Sponsoring the Employer of the Year awards is a natural fit for Pure - the business also works to identify and promote the best employers and encourages employee engagement in the East of England through its initiative Best Employers, Eastern Region (BEER), launched in 2012.

Pure is honoured to be part of the thriving Cambridge business community and working alongside a rich diversity of local enterprises, many of whom also claimed top awards.

Therefore, Pure would like to congratulate all category winners: ARM and its CEO Warren East – Outstanding Contribution, Aveva - Business of the Year, Bromium – Business Innovation, Cambridge Commodities - Small Business of the Year, Dr Tim Haynes of Nujira - Business Person of the Year, Eben Upton and the Raspberry Pi Foundation - Special Award: Social Entrepreneur, Ubisense - TWI Award for technology engineering in international markets, and Z-Tech Control Systems - Barclays Award.
