Martyn Dawes has written a history of his time starting, building and selling Coffee Nation to Whitbread. The amusing title is “Wake up and sell the coffee”.
After a presentation at Deloitte in Cambridge, RBS was appointed as bankers early on and Paul Marks was able to put a portfolio of funding together comprising invoice finance, asset finance and loans aimed at fuelling the growth Martyn worked so hard to achieve.
The book is a great read for any aspiring entrepreneur, with the pain and stess all too evident alongside the pleasure that Martyn got from the hard-earned success.
