A record 27 teams took part in the charity event and Ensors, led by David Scrivener and David Upton, came away victorious. In a closely contested competition, second place was awarded to Hopkins Homes and third place went to BDO.
Chris Schwer, Head of Birketts' Property Division, said: “This year, to mark the 10th anniversary of Birketts’ sponsorship and to make the event extra special, Seniors’ Tour professional and former Walker Cup/Ryder Cup player, Ronan Rafferty, attended as guest of honour.”
Chris continued: “Save the Children provides education, healthcare and disaster relief for children and work to protect their rights. I’m delighted that the year's golf day was so well supported by the local business community. Birketts sponsors this event by underwriting the overheads therefore allowing all money raised to go direct to the charity. Although the final figure hasn't been confirmed we are expecting approximately £10,000 to have been raised."
