A free conference next week, 'Going up the high road: rethinking the role of social dialogue to link welfare and competitiveness', features reknowned employment relations experts from across Europe - including Ekaterina Ribarova, Sara Hungler, Davide Dazzi and Francisco Gomez Abelleira - as well as keynote speakers Iacopo Senatori and Ylenia Curzi.

Invited experts will present and discuss:

  • innovative experiments in firm-level, sectoral and regional bargaining that advance both firm competitiveness and worker well-being
  • evolving frameworks of national and EU-level regulation encouraging such bargaining.

The event will be open to the public and of great interest to professionals such as:

  • large employers from both the public and private sector with unionised workforces including British multinationals with unionised workforces in other EU member states
  • representatives of employer associations and sectoral or territorially-based business associations
  • government officials involved in labour market regulation, economic development and employability
  • union officials.
