Ray Chudleigh and Ed Todd attended the ceremony held at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, last week and collected the RIBA Award for the project, which was commended by the jury for being 'designed and executed in an elegant way.'
From a shortlist of 31 projects, 17 won awards. These projects will all be considered for the RIBA National Awards now and the winners will be announced in July of this year.
The combined Cambridge Colleges of King’s, Selwyn and Churchill, together with the Leys School, commissioned RH Partnership to replace their existing 60s boathouse which had an industrial aesthetic and lacked the appeal and character of other boathouses along the river.
