The EmTech Conference showcases emerging technologies with the greatest potential to change our lives. It aims to be an access point to the most innovative people and companies in the world and to inspire innovators by giving them a glimpse of the future. The event is run by MIT Technology Review, which is focused on identifying important new technologies and deciphering their impact.
During Sagentia’s session, Lee Forster, Technology Advisory Practice Lead at Sagentia, will focus on topics such as how companies can evaluate which emerging technologies have the most market potential for their business; whether the technologies are feasible; and how to tackle the leap from lab to market. Forster will also highlight a technology evaluation framework that can help companies structure their process.
“There are so many exciting new technologiesin development it can be difficult for companies and entrepreneurs to identify which are most appropriate for their business and stakeholder needs,” comments Forster. “To fully evaluate a technology they need to consider multiple factors, including business fit, stakeholder requirements, technical feasibility, potential markets, skills required to develop it and how to commercialize it into a product. Getting this right can reduce project risk and ensure you have confidence in your investment decisions.”
Sagentia has more than 28 years’ experience partnering with companies to help them successfully identify, evaluate and commercialise new and emerging technologies that will meet their stakeholder needs both at a strategic and technology level. This event follows Sagentia and MIT Technology Review’s collaboration earlier this year co-hosting a special event presenting 10 Breakthrough Technologies for 2013.
