Scrutton Bland goes Platinum

Scrutton Bland has just been awarded Platinum Partner status – the highest level of accreditation for Xero partners.

Scrutton Bland writes:

We have been at the vanguard of cloud accounting systems for a number of years. Cloud accounting enables our clients to manage their business finances on mobile digital devices, and so frees up business managers, bookkeepers and administrators from insecure and paper-based systems and enables them to access data at any time, and to share it with their accountants, banks and financial associates. Xero is one of the world’s leading cloud accounting platforms. We are delighted to announce that Scrutton Bland has just been awarded Platinum Partner status – the highest level of accreditation for Xero partners.

The Platinum Partner status shows our commitment to ensuring that clients are fit for the future by moving away from more traditional accounting methods and adopting cloud software. We are also designated specialists in Making Tax Digital and Xero migration and are certified in Xero payroll and Xero adviser categories. We regularly share our knowledge with members of the community in our ‘Introduction to Xero’ events which are held monthly in our Ipswich and Colchester offices.

Ryan Pearcy, Business Advisory Director is delighted with the news of the upgraded status and commented:“ It is great to become Platinum partners but at Scrutton Bland we feel we have for some time performed as a “platinum” status firm based on our sblive service and our deep relationship with the Xero product and team. The badge is an outward recognition for all the internal work our team has put in over the years”.

Getting to the milestone of Platinum Partner builds on the work we have done with Xero to provide real-time insights for sectors within our portfolio, for example the agricultural community. We have developed a core App Stack for our farming clients which combines Figured and Receipt Bank to integrate data with Xero to provide enhanced financial reporting and forecasting.  Xero have launched a designated resource for agricultural accounting on their website which is indicative of the strong relationship we have with them, and the opportunity they perceive exists in providing a progressive accounting platform for farmers.

Nick Banks, Business Advisory Partner has been working with Xero for some time and commented: “Working with Xero and Figured has been rewarding and it is gratifying that Xero approached us to build a case study on the work we have completed with one of our clients to deliver a cloud based solution.  This has enhanced financial insight to assist with business planning and strategic advice.”

Working with organisations like Xero is one way that Scrutton Bland brings our entire fleet of professional services to individuals and businesses of all sizes to deliver personal and business solutions. We aim to provide our clients with the intelligence they need to have an accurate picture of their business as it is operating today, which can also help them build towards their future. Sharing information through cloud-based platforms  like Xero means everyone spends less time crunching numbers, and means accountants and adviser are able to give time finding and delivering good advice - helping our business clients to manage their cashflow and grow their businesses through better-informed decisions.
