New digital service introduced for Lasting Powers of Attorney
The Office of the Public Guardian has introduced a new digital service for Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). ‘Use A Lasting Power of Attorney’ went live on 17 July 2020 and all LPAs registered after this date will be able to make use of the service.

Furloughed employees should receive full redundancy payments and notice pay
The Government has introduced the Coronavirus, Calculation of a Week’s pay Regulations 2020 effective from 31st July 2020. It ensures furloughed employees receive statutory redundancy pay and statutory notice pay based on their normal pay if they were working, rather than a reduced furlough rate.
