The conference will explore the rapidly growing applications of sensor technology in food and agriculture.
On the first day, Tuesday 1st December, the main focus will be on remote and connected sensing - how the Internet of Things is impacting agriculture productivity. Leading speakers from NESTA, Syngenta, NIAB among others will discuss how sensor technology is changing the farming landscape.
On Wednesday 2nd December, the focus will turn to biosensor technology and its application in detection of pathogens, toxins and contaminants; how sensors can enhance food quality during manufacturing; what lessons can be learned from biomedicine? Key note speaker is Prof. Richard Durst, Cornell University and Chair, Food Advisory Committee of the US Food and Drug Administration.
Each day will conclude with a Panel Discussion on opportunities for sensor application.
The conference will include exhibits, poster displays and a networking reception on the evening of the 1st December.
