Jack Cooper joined the Sieve Creative team in September 2014, as Digital Specialist after studying a BTEC extended diploma in practical photography (processing, digital, commercial and fine art) at the College of West Anglia.
Pete Wales, Founding Partner at Sieve Creative, says: “Having expanded the business over the past year and moved into larger offices, we are now in a position to look at taking on additional staff, to help with the increasing workloads. During his time with us as an intern, Jack quickly settled into the team and provided some much needed support in many areas of the business. We asked Jack if he would consider taking on an apprentice role, and to our delight, he accepted”.
The change in courses has meant that Jack now studies a level 3 NVQ in Social Media and Digital Marketing at Cambridge Regional College. This programme allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the Social Media industry. Effective use of social media is now an established marketing tool, and could help businesses thrive. These qualifications provide an understanding on the impact of social media for business and help businesses to use a range of techniques and tools in marketing campaigns.
Jack says “I wanted to work for Sieve Creative as I enjoy the design and creative services that the business provides to its customers. This is a great move for me, as it means that I now get to learn a wider range of skills, enabling me to develop my career in a number of different areas, still within the creative field. Plus I now get paid to do a job that I wholeheartedly enjoy.”
The apprenticeship will last for 20 months and is due to finish in May 2016.
