Signagelive showcases new Smart Signage software at Integrated Systems Europe

Signagelive, global suppliers of cloud-based digital signage technology, will be demonstrating a number of advanced Smart Signage software features developed to support embedded media player technology at Integrated Systems Europe, the RAI, Amsterdam, 4-6 February 2014.

These include multi-zone layout designs, HDMI input for live TV, sophisticated scheduling, advanced device monitoring (including screen on/off, CPU and memory control) and drag-and-drop design facilities. Signagelive can be found on booth number 8-L170 in Hall 8. In addition the company’s technology will be on display on the booths of all key vendor and distribution partners participating at the event.

Signagelive will also be demonstrating its cross-platform support capabilities by using its cloud-based software to manage content displayed on: Android media players (developed by Dension), Intel NUC PCs (distributed TDMaverick, the AV division of Tech Data Group) and Samsung’s Smart Signage Platform.

Signagelive’s system on chip (SoC) software version replicates the functionality of its core-PC display software, giving digital signage technology users access to Windows-grade capabilities on a range of non-PC devices.

As with its core software, Signagelive’s SoC software is written in HTML5. It provides full support for different content formats including static images, video, HDMI input, IPTV, web pages and RSS feeds. It also integrates with QR code technology and all common social media widgets.  Its cross-platform support capabilities make digital signage technology accessible and affordable for wide-scale commercial use by all market sectors.

No technical expertise is required, so users can quickly set up and display content relevant for different demographic groups and manage that content centrally, locally or remotely via a device of their choice.

Targeted information can be displayed on different screen types and scheduled to dynamically update, depending on factors such as time of day and/or updates to external data sources. In addition, promotional information, discount vouchers, for example, can be overlaid onto background content to reinforce marketing messages and encourage consumer engagement.

Says Jason Cremins, CEO of Signagelive; “Smart Signage technology has the potential to transform digital signage because it removes the need for onsite media players, resulting in significantly lower hardware and installation costs. Coupled with our device-agnostic software, digital signage applications are becoming more mainstream because AV and IT resellers are able to create all inclusive digital signage packages appropriate for different markets.
