SmithsonHill is a keen supporter of the local community and both Russell Smith Farms and Hill have been heavily involved in activities to support schools, sports charities and other initiatives locally for decades. The SmithsonHill team lives locally, works locally and contributes in different ways to the communities around it. SmithsonHill says: "We are always looking for ways of becoming involved with the local communities.
"We are delighted this winter to support local Charity – JHC. JHC is a diverse and wide ranging charity to help those in need in the Sawston area. This year SmithsonHill supported the charity by handing over a cheque and food to charity manager Jill Hayden. The combined food donation was made into almost 100 Christmas hampers to go to local residents."
ABOUT JHC
JHC was founded over 500 years ago when three parcels of land were left by local landowner John Huntingdon to benefit directly the people of Sawston. The charity continues to build on this legacy, taking into account changing times to help build a 21st Century community with real employment potential, offering new homes and more opportunities for local people.
