Speaker line-up for Cambridge cyber security event announced

With just three weeks remaining until the Cyber Security: Managing and Mitigating Risk event in Cambridge, the speaker line-up has been announced.

Speakers include: Steve Marshall, a technical advisor for Cryptomathic and former Head of Security Architecture at Barclaycard; William Spooner, CTO of Cambridge-based Eagle Genomics; Duncan Sutcliffe, CEO of cyber insurance brokers, Sutcliffe & Co; Alan Calder, Founder and Executive Chairman of IT Governance and Steve Watkins, Director of Training & Consultancy at IT Governance.

Hosted by IT Governance, the fast-growing cyber security services business, the event is aimed at Cambridgeshire companies that want to learn how to protect their business from the rapidly escalating number of cyber attacks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a workshop and benefit from one-to-one sessions with industry experts.

Alan Calder, Founder and Executive Chairman of IT Governance, says: “We believe that this event is the first of its kind in Cambridge and the area, and that it will be of benefit to local companies. Cambridge is a cluster for business and innovation, and with so many companies in the technology, science and services sectors, cyber security is of real importance to businesses in those sectors to stay competitive and protect their information assets.”

Calder adds: “We are delighted that we have the support of other industry leaders including 3M, Boldon James, BSI, Certification Europe and IISP. This is an event not to be missed by business leaders and information security professionals.”
