Realising Cambridge’s entrepreneurial potential, Ed Goodman, founder of Cambridge Business Lounge, the city’s most coveted co-working space, is bringing Start Up East workshops to the city.
The inclusive course is aimed at individuals of any age, industry or experience. It is developed especially for those thinking of starting a business following redundancy, graduation or the birth of a great idea, and also suits people who have recently started a business and need directional support.Intended to help turn ideas into a tangible reality.
The five-hour workshops equip participants with the necessary skills to plan their business, and the information to manage cash flow, cope with taxation, company structure and insurances, as well as branding, marketing, budgeting and creating a web presence for their new firm. The courses will be run on both Wednesdays and Saturdays to accommodate those who are still currently in full time employment or have study commitments.
The first workshops will be taking place on Wednesday 29th May 2013 and Saturday 1st June 2013.Host Ed has helped over 10,000 small businesses to develop in the past decade and has a passion for collaboration. He hopes Start Up East will be the catalyst for many small businesses in Cambridge;

Set in the Cambridge Business Lounge, a place where collaboration and networking is inherent, participants meet others in the same position and may be able to work together as their businesses are getting off the ground.If you are passionate about your idea or hobby and have a business proposal that you would like to pursue, the course costs just £40, includes light refreshments and a Start Up Support Pack, and takes place in Cambridge city centre.
