Charlotte Lomas, 27, has been nominated in the Most Inspirational Student Nurse of the Year, while Georgina O’Reilly-Foley, 26, has been shortlisted for Student Nurse of the Year: Adult prize.

Emily Reynolds has also been nominated in the Outstanding Contribution to Student Affairs category, while lecturer Lindsey Rose has made the 11-person shortlist for the Educator of the Year section.

Anglia Ruskin is the largest provider of nursing and midwifery training in the East of England, and the most recent National Student Survey (NSS) results placed Anglia Ruskin’s Nursing courses in the top 10 nationally for student satisfaction.

Professor Ruth Taylor, Dean of the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education at Anglia Ruskin, said: “We are proud that so many of our talented and hard-working students and staff have been shortlisted for these national awards.

“We encourage our students to not only thrive academically but to strive to achieve leadership qualities that will stand them in good stead for the challenges of healthcare professions. I wish everyone from Anglia Ruskin the very best of luck.”

The awards ceremony will take place on 27 April at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London.
