Stephen Perse Foundation students secure ‘world-changing’ offers

Two 6th Form students at the Stephen Perse Foundation, innovators in an education dedicated to creating independent thinkers, have secured offers to study International Relations at Sciences Po – a world-leading university for social sciences that aims to educate future leaders capable of changing the world.

Konstantin Wegner and Bobby Edge-Partington are now looking forward to studying at Sciences Po in France. They will join a diverse student body from nearly 150 countries, as well as an academic community of over 200 faculty members and 4000 lecturers from the professional world.

Sciences Po is a leader in social responsibility and strongly promotes a global outlook through its research and teaching. These same values are integral to learning at the Stephen Perse Foundation, where young people are encouraged to think globally and enthused with the passion and purpose to make a positive difference to others.

On 15 June, current students at the Stephen Perse 6th Form will have an opportunity to meet with the admissions team from Sciences Po, plus a range of other universities at an event organised by Simon Armitage, Head of Guidance who explains: “We focus on exploring a full range of options for every student. Through a personalised Guidance Programme we take time to understand students and to identify a pathway that’s right for each individual. Strong links with leading UK and overseas universities, plus employers allow us to identify the very best opportunities.”

Tricia Kelleher, Principal of the Stephen Perse Foundation comments: “At the Stephen Perse Foundation education is about character, about who you become and we place a strong emphasis on both personal and social responsibility. As Konstantin and Bobby take steps towards a future at Sciences Po, I’m both proud and excited to see where their futures lead. As innovators in research with potential to change our world for the better, Sciences Po is certainly a place where exciting futures flourish.”

About the Stephen Perse Foundation

The Stephen Perse Foundation is different. We prepare young people for life in an ever-changing, global and digital world. Through our global outlook we connect students to a world of inspiring opportunities.

By teaching students to think for themselves, we achieve exceptional results – but for us, education is not just about grades. We see the individual behind the results. We develop strength of character, a sense of social responsibility and an ability to innovate and collaborate.

By celebrating diversity and collaboration in school and with our wider community we encourage students to choose a path that is right for them. We recognise potential in every child and inspire young people to achieve their dreams - guiding them every step of the way.
