The day was inspired by the existing Yorkshire Day, and a huge number of events have planned to showcase everything people love about living, working and holidaying in Suffolk.
What better way spend it than visiting some of the county’s historic and more recent civil engineering projects? The ICE Suffolk branch has an information leaflet celebrating 19, including the Orwell Bridge (pictured), Oulton Broad Railway Swing Bridge and Herringfleet Windmill at Somerleyton.

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) East of England Region wholeheartedly supports Suffolk Day and hopes the region’s other counties will hold similar events.
