The Red Hen Project is proud to be this year’s chosen charity at the Cambridge Beer Festival. To make the most of this opportunity, we’re calling on the community to help us turn games into something bigger: lasting support for local families.
How you can help:
We're collecting new or gently-used games (think Jenga, Uno, Connect 4, Scrabble, and similar favourites) to lend out during the festival and then gift to families we work with. It’s a simple way to bring joy to children who need it most.
Game donations can be dropped off at:
Where: Byron House, Cambridge Science Park, CB4 0WZ
When: By Monday 19th February

Volunteer with us at the festival
We're also looking for volunteers to help out at our stand. It's a great way to get involved, meet people, and enjoy the festival while supporting a local children’s charity. Tasks include collecting glass deposits, helping with bucket collections, and talking to festival-goers about our work.
Volunteers get:
- Free entry to the festival
- Food and drink tokens
- A fun, social atmosphere
- No age limit - kids and dogs welcome
Whether you can spare a few hours or an entire session, your time makes a real difference.
