Autumn is moving on…

So as we’re getting to the end of Q3, now might be a good time to share a tip about the weather.

No idea whether this is the same for countries other than the UK, but for me Outlook displays the weather in Fahrenheit. OK, born and raised in the Netherlands I never did “old money” and when I moved to this country I quickly learned that 61 degrees Fahrenheit is 16 using the Celsius scale and 82 is 28. (You know I love mnemonics ;)

But why not change it?

Here’s how:

  1. On the File tab, click Options.
  2. Type the letter C (or click Calendar).
  3. At the bottom of the options, under Weather select Celsius.

[[{"fid":"295200","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"weather screen shot 1","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"weather screen shot 1"},"link_text":false,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"1":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"weather screen shot 1","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"weather screen shot 1"}},"attributes":{"alt":"weather screen shot 1","title":"weather screen shot 1","class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"1"}}]]

4. Press ENTER or click OK.

This tip is written for Microsoft 365 desktop apps and Windows 10 users, but might also be useful in Office 2010, 2013 and 2016. I meticulously test every tip I write to make sure it is correct, easy to understand and time-saving. Let me know if something isn't clear or doesn't work.
