Tame your computer - expand your Outlook

In her regular series for Cambridge Network members, software training expert Karen Roem offers handy tips to help you 'Tame your computer'. This week she describes how to display multiple calendar months in the Date Navigator (Microsoft Outlook)...

Happy New Year! Let’s make 2015 the year that you learn heaps and have fun doing so. Hopefully this tip is a good start and worth checking out - how to display more than one month in Outlook’s Date Navigator.

OK, you can simply drag the split bar between the Date Navigator and your email messages, but you’ll see all the months on one row, which – I feel – takes up too much space. So why not change the number of rows, which automatically sets how many months you can view?

Here’s how:

1.       Right-click in a blank area on the Date Navigator. (The area to the right of your email messages, in the To-Do Bar.)

2.       Select Options from the drop-down list.

3.       Type how many months you want in the Number of month rows box.

4.       Click OK.

Unless stated otherwise, these tips were written for Microsoft Office 2010.
