Last week (Monday 24th April to Friday 28th April) legal professionals from across the region waived their usual fees and replaced it with a donation in aid of the ACT, to provide care for those staying in Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge.

Make a Will Week raised more than £12,500 towards the care of patients last year and it is hoped that this amount will be reached again this year.

Catherine Mowat, Partner at Tees – Wills, Trusts, Tax and Probate, said: “We are pleased to support this worthwhile cause, which provides care for thousands of patients at Addenbrooke’s. Tees is very proud to have been part of this campaign for the last five years and to help those who are in need of the peace of mind that a properly written Will can give.

“Writing a Will is a really important part of planning for the future, as it is a set of clear instructions for what you want to happen after you die. After your death, your Will is used to distribute your assets according to your wishes and can provide clear direction for family and friends at a difficult time.

“When someone dies there are a lot of practical steps to take and a lot to sort out. A Will can help take some of the pressure off and ensure that your friends and families are provided for after your death.”

Tees’ expert and approachable lawyers specialise in many areas of law including clinical negligence, family, employment, residential conveyancing, commercial property and dispute resolution, as well as probate and estate planning.
