ThinkFM conference – a look ahead at Workplace Law’s sessions

Next Monday (10 June), ThinkFM 2013 is taking place at the Royal College of Physicians in London. Over 300 delegates from the facilities management profession are expected through the conference doors. With three hubs, delegates can build their own agenda from all the available sessions.

Ahead of the conference, some of Workplace Law’s speakers have given an insight into their session content. A short video can be watched here

Simon Toseland, Head of Health and Safety at Workplace Law, shares what can be expected from his presentation, seeking to explore the role that senior managers play in health and safety and the importance of their role in generating a good health and safety culture from the top down. Simon explains, this needn’t be a costly process and can in fact make good business sense.

Managing Consultant of Workplace Law Career Network, Neil McDiarmid introduces his session, Managing Talent: The Virtuous Circle, about orgnisations understanding that the retention strategy starts even before the first interview. Interactive in nature the close correlation between top performing organisations and those that retain talent, will be explored.

Suzanne McMinn, Head of HR, Workplace Law, will be presenting the session ’Harnessing the Power of Competency Frameworks’ and more specifically how competency frameworks work within the FM industry. Expect to discover the importance of recruitment, performance management and succession planning.
