Trainee Solicitor Dominic Chapman and Senior Paralegal Will May join Birketts London office and one of the longest established and successful social housing practices in the country recognised as a top-tier team in the legal directories.

Dominic and Will follow the addition of three new team members at the start of January 2021 - Solicitor Elena-Lucia Singleton, Associate Lee Stone and Partner Clive Adams. Clive is a valuable asset, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience as a solicitor working in the social housing sector and a successful history handling cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal.

These appointments to the team followed Partner Jonathan Hulley joining Birketts’ new London office in April 2020. As well as his excellent client experience and history of landlord and tenant litigation, Jonathan is focusing his efforts on growing this practice beyond the East of England including in the capital, the Midlands and the South East. The appointments made in the team in the last nine months and a perfect example of Birketts becoming a truly national, one-stop shop offering for our social housing clients.

Chris Schwer, Partner and Head of Property (pictured), said: “To see our Social Housing Team grow and gain such a diverse wealth of talent gives me immense confidence for the future of our Property Team.

“Social housing is an ever-changing landscape driven by Government demands, new legislation and the economy – so our dynamic Social Housing Team and our ‘full-service’ offering is the best way to stay ahead of any changes that will affect you. Our clients can rely on our service to be practical, pragmatic and clear no matter their circumstances.

“I look forward to working with Dominic and Will and I am sure they have a bright future at Birketts.”
