The Centre, based on Hooper Street, provides the resources, opportunities, space and support for women to make positive changes in their lives. Towry is now working with the Centre to refresh and update its onsite crèche facilities, currently available free of charge to women visiting for one-one support and advice and for those attending courses at the woman only centre. The centre is planning to open as a day nursery in September 2013.
As part of the Mayor’s visit to the Centre, Jayde Templar from Towry’s Cambridge office, based on Clarendon Road, was invited to discuss how Towry is to work with the Centre and the benefits of the work that the charity champions will provide.
Anna Gilchrist, Support Worker at CWRC says: “We are delighted and appreciative that Towry has chosen to support our work here at the centre. We had a vibrant morning with clients, members of Towry, the Mayor and volunteers, with lots of discussion about women’s experiences of accessing the Centre. We are very much looking forward to working with Towry in the coming months.”
