The Travel Clinic celebrates a decade of healthcare

The Travel Clinic Ltd is celebrating its 10th anniversary of providing quality healthcare to the travelling public, enabling more than 50,000 people to travel safely.

Back in 2003 The Travel Clinic Ltd foresaw a gap in the market for a expert clinic in Cambridge and set up in a small way in a clinic in Mill Road, Cambridge, with just one nurse – the Managing Director, Mary Kedward, and one receptionist.  Mary says: "We now employ 12 nurses and four receptionists in two clinics, both in Cambridge and Ipswich.

"Throughout the whole 10 years we have had enthusiastic support from Dr Jane Wilson-Howarth, eminent Cambridge GP, zoologist, author and broadcaster on travel health issues (and general good egg).

"Our mission is to help both independent and corporate travellers to travel safely by protecting themselves against tropical diseases. Vaccines and malaria tablets are just the beginning in our consultations; information on disease outbreaks and how best to protect oneself is also crucial.

"Ten years on, we are one of  the market leaders in our field.

"The key is the quality and enthusiasm of the team and enjoyment of the changeability in the field of Travel Health."
