With Article 50 set to be triggered in March and the nation set to leave the EU two years later, any insight into the future of print is of interest.
The Franchise Group surveyed their print shop owners to identify business trends. The key findings showed a growth in high quality shorter run specialist print as the traditional business stationery market dwindles.
Despite the rise of emails, the demand for printed leaflets, flyers, and brochures is up, says the print group, as marketing departments take advantage of the flexibility digital colour printing provides for more targeted direct mail activity.
Another growth area has been the increasingly stylish and well-presented literature for conferences and business presentations. The Franchise Group says that conference and event planners are under pressure to deliver high quality graphics for their conferences and trade events and are prepared to spend accordingly.
The centres report that business is remaining constant with no signs of a dip or of a boom. Non print products are one area of growth such as promotional gifts and give-aways, says the print group. After four decades in business it seems the instant print sector is still buoyant.
