The Connected Cities Innovation Contest offers opportunities for startups and SMEs to explore the challenges and opportunities in innovation across four core challenges areas: Buildings, Environment, Communities and Services. It is not necessary to be active in the challenge areas or wider sector to apply for this funding, but you'll need to have a specific product, platform or service in mind - even if it is only at the idea stage.

The Technology Strategy Board's IC tomorrow programme, which aims to stimulate innovation and economic growth in the digital sector, offers new opportunities for startups, SMEs and other digital businesses over the coming months. For those interested in the evolution of the connected city, a new contest launches on 1 September.
