TVC Startup Challenge: Win a chance to pitch your product

As part of the tenth anniversary Technology Ventures Conference (TVC) on 21 June, CUTEC is hosting a competition for start-ups.

The selected startups will get to present their product as part of the technology showcase exhibition. They will also pitch in front of a panel of top industry leaders and academics to win prizes. With this challenge CUTEC is offering young start-ups the chance to boost their growth by getting exposure, having key networking opportunities and getting to know the vibrant Cambridge cluster.

What is the TVC startup challenge?
The Technology Ventures Conference (TVC) startup challenge is a competition for startups all around the world that are in a stage where they have developed a prototype of their concept, that offers them the unique opportunity of exposure to the Cambridge’s technology cluster plus prizes.

Why is this challenge awesome?
CUTEC brings different people (students, entrepreneurs, professionals) from all around the world that are all passionate about one thing: entrepreneurship. We want to help new great ventures get discovered and fasten their growth. With this challenge we offer you a real opportunity to give a boost to your startup.

How, when and where?
The competition will be carried out in a number of stages depending on the number of  participants, with the first round being an assessment through the application process taking place in early May and the final stage for the finalists taking place at the TVC in Cambridge on the 21 June with a showcase exhibition and a judge panel pitching session.

Who can enter?
Startups all around the world who have developed a concept into a prototype, that could contribute into a showcase exhibition and any great startup that would like to benefit from exposure to the Cambridge’s unique technology cluster. Additionally, your startup must not have received more than £500K of external investment, your annual turnover must not exceed £500K and your company must be less than two years old.

How can I apply?
By filling out our relevant application form where you are asked to provide some information about your startup and your team and provide a short video demonstrating your product.

Are there preferred categories/technology areas?
No, any technology based startup with an amazing product is welcome to apply.

Who will the judges be?
Pitching will be done in front of a high qualified worldwide audience like Business Angels, Entrepreneurs, VCs, Top Academics. Check last year’s TVC speakers and judges.

What is the prize drawing procedure?
What we and judges will be looking for is for innovative startups with amazing products to show with business potential and great teams with high motivation.

Once you have applied you will be considered for assessment and will get notified in May whether you have made it to the second round! Good luck!
